Dose Captain tracks reminders and user confirmations. It does not prescribe, recommend a dose, verify ingestion, provide emergency monitoring, or replace a clinician, pharmacist, medication label, or direct human check-in.
Acceptance and authority
By using Dose Captain, you agree to these terms and the Dose Captain privacy policy. If you configure or share a plan for another person, you represent that you have their consent or the legal authority required to act for them. A capable adult should accept their own family-sharing relationship.
Safe use and user responsibility
You are responsible for entering and checking medication names, amounts, units, schedules, instructions, syringe markings, and other plan details against the physical label and guidance from a qualified clinician or pharmacist. Do not use Dose Captain to decide, calculate, or change a dose or treatment. Contact an appropriate professional if any plan information is unclear.
Check-ins describe what a user recorded. They do not prove that medication was swallowed, injected, absorbed, or taken correctly. Family alerts, local reminders, sync, and push notifications can be delayed, unavailable, or fail. Do not rely on Dose Captain for emergencies or as the only way to supervise a person who requires direct care.
Family Alerts
Family Alerts is optional. Household members may see selected locked plans, schedules, confirmation status, alert status, roles, consent records, and audit metadata according to their permissions. Invitation links and codes are private and must not be posted publicly. Access may be revoked, and users must not use the service to bypass another person’s privacy, consent, or legal rights.
Dose Captain Pro and subscriptions
When offered, Dose Captain Pro is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple. The App Store purchase sheet shows the price and billing period before confirmation. Payment is charged to the Apple Account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew unless canceled through Apple at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Apple Account subscription settings and restore eligible purchases inside the app.
Free trials, introductory offers, availability, and pricing are controlled by the App Store and may vary. Unless required by law, billing and refund requests are handled under Apple’s policies. Losing Pro access does not disable access to existing local records or the ability to confirm a scheduled check-in.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse invitations, attempt unauthorized household access, interfere with the service, upload malicious content, reverse engineer protected service components where prohibited, or use Dose Captain for unlawful surveillance, coercion, medical prescribing, or emergency dispatch.
Privacy and account controls
The privacy policy explains local storage, optional cloud processing, HealthKit, contacts, photos, service providers, and user choices. Account and cloud-data deletion can be initiated inside the app or through the account deletion instructions.
Availability and changes
Dose Captain may change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain safety, security, legal compliance, or service quality. Features described as future, preview, local-only, or unavailable are not promised. We may update these terms, and the effective date will identify the current version.
Disclaimers and limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dose Captain is provided “as is” and without a guarantee that reminders, alerts, calculations entered by a user, sync, or other features will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CodexCaptain is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the app.
Termination
You may stop using Dose Captain, cancel Pro through Apple, revoke family relationships, or delete an optional account. Access may be restricted when reasonably necessary to address security, fraud, unlawful conduct, or a material breach of these terms.
