Help from CodexCaptain

Dose Captain support

Help with medication reminders, family check-ins, locked plans, notifications, injection tracking, purchases, privacy, and account controls.

Dose Captain records check-ins. It does not prove medication was swallowed, provide medical advice, or replace a clinician, pharmacist, direct family contact, or emergency service.

What does “confirmed” mean?

It means someone selected an allowed action such as Taken, Delay, or Didn’t take and confirmed that choice. It is a record of the check-in, not proof of ingestion or correct use.

Can a dependent change a locked plan?

No. A caregiver-locked plan prevents dependent and viewer roles from changing the medication name, dose, schedule, instructions, and other caregiver-controlled details. Caregivers can review plan-change history.

What should I do when a check-in is missing?

Contact the person directly. Push notifications can be delayed or fail, and Dose Captain never claims that a notification was delivered or read. If someone may be in danger, contact the appropriate emergency service instead of relying on the app.

Local reminders are not appearing

  1. Open iOS Settings, then Notifications, then Dose Captain.
  2. Confirm notifications are allowed.
  3. In Dose Captain, confirm the plan and its local reminder are enabled.
  4. Check the phone’s date, time zone, Focus settings, and notification summary settings.

Family Alerts shows unavailable

  1. Confirm the device is online.
  2. In Family Alerts, confirm the account is signed in and the relationship is active.
  3. Check the last-sync time and notification permission.
  4. Keep using direct human check-ins until the app reports that alerts are ready again.

Injection and peptide records

Dose Captain can store reminders, user-entered syringe markings, vial inventory, and injection-site history. Public builds do not recommend a dose or decide how a vial should be reconstituted. Always use the physical label and instructions from a qualified clinician or pharmacist.

Privacy and account deletion

Read the Dose Captain privacy policy. To remove an optional Family Alerts account and its associated cloud data, follow the account deletion instructions. Local records can be erased in Dose Captain under Settings, Data Controls.
